Lod Mosaic Excavation and Conservation Video

A behind the scenes peek at the ancient Roman Mosaic from Lod Israel, now on view in Chicago at the Field Museum. See this massive undertaking in action as a portion of the pavement is prepared to tour the US. This video gives a look at the excavation site and lifting and conserving the sections. It is the largest and most beautiful mosaic ever discovered in Israel. 5 minutes, produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
